Goodbye, shoes
Rather than copy and paste from my previous entry, suffice it to say that I am throwing my shoes in the trash.
Another day… Another fall. *sigh*
This time I came in from feeding cats (wet shoes again) and fell in the garage. On the same knee. OH—and on the way down, I grabbed the truck bumper. Just about yanked my arm out of the socket at the shoulder.
Goodbye, shoes. With the exception of the last few days, you’ve been good to me.
Breathless
Some things in life leave me breathless. A beautiful sunset—in a good way.
A brisk walk—in a healthy way. (Uh, no pictures of that!)
A fall on the kitchen floor—in a writhing way. (Uh, no pictures of that, either!)
Poor husband…I was hurrying to answer the phone this morning when I slipped and fell. As I picked up the phone on my way down, all he heard was panting, moaning, and crying. He kept asking if I was okay. Once I could talk (and stand up), I told him that yes, I thought I’d be okay. But thank God for ibuprofen and ice packs. *sigh*
This is one of those “I hate getting old” days.
April showers bring…
The good news is that it’s been raining for nearly three days. It’s been a slow steady rain, so it has settled the dust on our red dirt road, and everything in our yard is green and growing like a weed!
The bad news is that it’s been raining for nearly three days. It’s been a slow steady rain, so our red dirt road is slicker than snot, and everything in our yard IS a weed!
If every man acted like a Canada goose
A pair of Canada geese have made themselves at home on our pond. Since it’s just the two, we allowed them to stay and expect their family will be growing soon. I like to sit on the dock and watch them when I feed the fish in the evening, and it occurs to me that the world would be a better place if every man acted like a Canada goose.
