The Women Over 50 blog provides insight into the highly intelligent thought process feeble mind of someone entering a new stage of life. I AM there, DOING that…whatever “that” is. 
So why write about it here?

Not sure if you remember me, we met while we were in different high schools. Just heard a classmate from my days at Aline Cleo passed away. Eldon Springer. Think you would have known him also. Called the mortuary and they said he was living in California and was homeless. Graveside is Thursday at the cemetary east of Aline. Just seems shocking to know someone in that condition.
Kinda understand from a male’s perspective on menopause. My wife has been going through it also. She has been really good for me and a great life partner. Good luck and hope to continue to read your stuff.

Hi, Rex. Nice to hear from you! THANK YOU for letting me know about Eldon—despite how sad the news is. Life takes everyone in such different directions. I was friends (back then) with several members of the Springer family and will keep them in my prayers in the coming days.
I’m glad to hear that you are healthy and happy—and that you have a good woman! Thanks again for letting me know about Eldon. (I will follow this with an email in case you don’t check back.)
