Decisions, decisions

My first day home from Vegas was not restful.  I should have stayed home and caught up on laundry or taken a nap or both (or neither).  Instead, I went with husband to an auction.  I knew better than to go…my gut said “stay home”—but I tagged along anway.

Standing outside in the 100 degree heat with a throng of other people was not fun.  When we go to auctions this time of year, I always secretly hope there is nothing worth staying for.  Yesterday, there was nothing worth staying for, but we stayed anyway.  🙄

Husband bought an old water well hand pump for a yard project, two iron wheels for a yard project, and an old plow for a yard project.  He also bought a few log chains (not because he needed them but because they were a good buy, according to him).  And he bought a wooden turkey that he wants to hang up somewhere.  Some drunk guy was bidding against him on the turkey…the guy’s wife kept whacking him and telling him to stop, but he kept bidding and so did husband.

I simply stood and sweated profusely for 6 hours and didn’t bid on a single thing.  Joy, joy…

So now it’s Sunday, and I have to jump back into work tomorrow.  I figure I could catch up on my laundry or take a nap or both (or neither).  I vote for the nap.  🙂
