Midnight epiphany

Ahhhh, yet another sign of—something. Age?  I don’t know, but this thing that I call a ‘midnight epiphany’ is making me crazy!

Take last night, for example. I was in bed by 9:30, and just as I was drifting off into La La Land, I sat straight up in bed.

My blog!  I forgot to blog!

It seems when I’m almost asleep, I wake up and remember something I left undone.  Sometimes it is hard to get back to sleep—even if I don’t get up and do whatever it is I didn’t do before bed—because I lay there and worry about it and wonder what else I’ve forgotten.  Did I lock the doors?  Did I put away the leftovers?  Did I make coffee for in the morning?

OK, so maybe it happens well before midnight.  And maybe it’s more of an *idiot moment* than an epiphany.  But still, it frustrates the heck out of me.  I’m starting to understand why old people take sleeping pills and/or befriend Jack Daniels.  🙄
