Sleeping around

I’ve been sleeping around a lot lately.

When I was sick with bronchitis, I slept in the recliner for a few weeks.  Then I slept on the sofa for a few weeks.  Then I’d bounce back and forth between the two.  Every now and then, I’d try migrating back to bed, but either I couldn’t get comfortable or husband would wake up when I’d turn the TV on.

I like the TV turned down real low as a little background noise when I drift off.  He used to like that, too, but now he likes it quiet when he goes to sleep.  Between our differing opinions about whether the TV should OFF or ON and his relentless snoring, I’m starting to understand why old people have separate bedrooms.  🙄

Somehow, the term “sleeping around” doesn’t have the same ring to it that it used to.  On the bright side, this kind of sleeping around won’t spread diseases, doesn’t make you feel sleezy, and requires no birth control.  OH, and it’s nice to wake up and have my own toothbrush handy!  🙂
