I won the lottery!

Whenever I stumble across a benefit of aging, I always feel like I’ve won the lottery.  The “getting old” lottery, that is…

I was trying out the new camcorder when husband and I opened our gifts Christmas morning.  I’m still not sure whether I’ll keep the camcorder or not.  But wait, this is supposed to be about winning the lottery.  🙄

So as I filmed husband opening his gifts, I kept saying, “Open that one—I can’t remember what it is!”  That’s when it dawned on me that one of the benefits of aging is that you get to have Christmas twice—once when you buy and wrap the gift, and again when someone opens it.

Winning the “getting old” lottery isn’t quite as sexy as winning the REAL lottery.  But hey—it’s kind of nice to win something once in awhile, and I suspect I’ll keep winning more and more often as the days roll on.  😉
