PART II: Creepy Stuff

So it was bad enough I had a fiddleback spider trying to share the sofa with me on Thursday morning.  The day didn’t get any better!!

Sometime mid-morning, husband called.  When I turned around from my monitor to face my desk, I found this creepy looking thing on a check that was on my desk.  😯

We do NOT live in a “house of bugs,” but this was certainly two strange events in one day.  Ahhhh, but the day wasn’t over…

Thursday nights are church night for us. Because we are a “cowboy church, we meet in a sale barn.  Now, it’s very clean inside the sale barn where everyone sits—but I take care of broadcasting our service live on the Internet, so I have to go around back and come in through an “outside” door to get to a booth where the computer is located.

So I went around the outside of the building and opened a door that leads into an area  that is part indoors/part outdoors.  The minute I opened the door, a rat ran out from behind a piece of metal—about 4″ from my shoes!  I know there are rats back there in that area, but it caught me off guard.

I hollered, “Oh, sh**!”

And then, of course, I remembered that I was in “church.”  🙄

Luckily, our sound guy had the music on plenty loud, as he usually does for an hour or so before church starts.  I would have been horrified if anyone had heard me, but hey—I imagine most of the people there would have done the same thing!  🙂

Yep, the whole day was kinda creepy…

Hi Rita! I found your blog through Whitney’s – good stuff!

I’m sure everyone has done that at least once when surprised (or all the time, in my case). You should have heard me the first time I saw how big the cockroaches get around here! Sometimes I wonder what our neighbors think of me. Actually it’s worse when I’m working on anything in Word. : )
