And then the skies opened up and it rained and rained (and rained some more)

Not real rain…unfortunately. It’s been raining work and a whole bunch of other stuff.  *sigh*

It seems that about a week ago, the skies opened up and it began to “rain” work.  And then more work. And now more work.  I’ve been working 10- and 12-hour days (even on weekends), and there is no end in sight. At this point, I have enough work to last—at this frantic pace—for several more weeks.  NOT that I’m complaining…because I know how “feast or famine” cycles go with freelance work.  But right now, it is nuts! 😯

And then it rained social events.  My sister is coming on Wednesday of this week, and she’ll be here for two weeks. We have an upcoming two-day church function (that I have to work into my “work” schedule), and it will take me about half a day to get stuff ready for that. Then next weekend, we have a wedding to attend in Tulsa that will be an overnight affair. (Ooooh…a casino trip!  I can certainly work that into my “work” schedule!)  😀

And as if that weren’t enough, we are STILL trying to get this “house/land deal” done. You know, at 51 years old, I have bought, sold and refinanced plenty of property, and I have never had such a horrible experience as this!!! I can hardly wait until it resolved so that I can let loose on all of the people who are making this difficult.  👿

So all of this STUFF is taking away from my blog time (and nap time, and TV time, and yard time).  But hey—I try not to complain.  Too much.  Or too loudly.  OK…so I complain.  Don’t make a big deal of it coz my patience are running pretty thin right now, and I’d hate to have to slap ya.  😆

Which statement? The one about the rain or this one? “Don’t make a big deal of it coz my patience are running pretty thin right now, and I’d hate to have to slap ya.”
