They do. They did. Whatever.

My sister Sherri is officially an empty nester. Well, she has been for 5-6 years now, but she finally got her one and only “young ‘en” married off.

The wedding was at Skelly Lodge (near Tulsa) last Saturday night.  I linked to their web page because it’s a really beautiful place—but I would never recommend it for a wedding!

  • It is hilly and there are stairs, which makes access extremely difficult.
  • The scenic overlook is the perfect backdrop for a ceremony, but the ground is so uneven that even I tripped right after we got there.
  • OH…and then there is that steep cliff.  Children and steep cliffs don’t mix.
  • I was helping my other sister with the food, and the kitchen is very tiny and only has one electrical outlet.  Try preparing food for 150 people with one outlet.  🙄

The wedding Saturday was nice, but like I said—if you want to get hitched outdoors, look for a better place.

I guess the honeymooners are somewhere in Jamaica right about now swimming with the dolphins or something.  Me?  I’m still recovering from my fall.  😉
