What to tell your friends

This is just a friendly little reminder. You may never be faced with this situation. But then again, you may, because people do stupid stuff sometimes.

Let’s say that a friend of yours—because I know you would never do this—so yeah, let’s say a friend of yours gets ready to sit down in a plastic lawn chair.  And let’s say that it’s about 105 degrees outside (or 106, 110, or 112…any real hot summer temperature). In fact, it’s so hot that your friend still has her summer nightgown on…you know, the short one that hangs just below her butt and exposes her big fleshy thighs. And let’s say it’s like 4:00 in the afternoon and that plastic chair is in the blazing hot sun.  OH!  And the chair is dark green, so it is really soaking up the rays!

Now, I would never sit in that chair.  I mean, I’m not stupid.

OLD? Yes.  STUPID? No.  FORGETFUL? Frequently.

So if you see “your friend” who is wearing her short nighty start to sit down in a dark green lawn chair that has been in the sun on a very hot day, warn her not to do it. If she does it anyway, hold your nose.  The smell of burning flesh is quite unpleasant.

Ouch!! sounds painful….i’m hoping I would have warned you if I’d been there, but can’t really say for sure.

Oh I know I would have said something, but probably AFTER I did the same thing. I would have done just what you did….I would have sat down without a single thought that it might be hotter than hell!!!

Sorry, I first reply was worded wrong…..
