Our annual trek

On Sunday, we made our annual trek to the State Fair.

Husband always gets excited by simply thinking about the day.  I, on the other hand, could live a lifetime without going ever again.  Oh, sure…I enjoy the cinammon rolls and the gyro sandwich.  But that’s about it.  Well, I also enjoy the polish sausage and the corn on the cob.  But not much else.  Ummm, this year I enjoyed the frozen cheesecake on a stick covered with strawberry topping.  But that really is all.

Before we ever parked this year, husband started griping about the *#&#^% traffic.  And then the *#$%@ gal who pointed him toward a parking area he didn’t want.  (He actually rolled down his window and hollered out the window to warn other drivers not to go the way she told them.)   🙄

While we were still in the truck, I had to remind him how badly he wanted to be there and tell him to “shut up and enjoy the fair.”  He did (shut up and enjoy himself)…which meant I did (shut up and enjoy myself)… which meant the world will continue spinning on its axis for one more year.  It also means a bit of an intestinal disorder for me this morning, but this, too, shall pass.  😉
