On March 12, I am grateful for…

On March 12, I am grateful for “professional” people.  I went to see the opthamologist yesterday about this icky thing in my eye.  (Technically, it is plural—things!)  I first blogged on February 26 about my cheek swelling, which turned out to be caused by something wrong with my eye. I’m not one to run to the doctor about stuff, but I finally decided to get an appointment when it increased from just one “thing” in my eye to several.  🙄

So the eye doctor told me yesterday that it is a chalazion, which is similar to but different than a stye. He wrote me a prescription and told me to use warm compresses several times a day and to take fish oil.  Hopefully, it will go away, but it could take a couple of months.  (As an aside, he told me I also had one in 2000…something I have absolutely no recollection of!)

This afternoon, I go see the CPA to have our taxes done. I’ve worked on them for hours—sorting receipts, flipping through 5 different checkbook registers, and revising spreadsheets—and I think I’m finally ready. Now he can do the hard part…making sense of it!

I can do a lot of things, but these two professionals—the opthamologist and the CPA—can do stuff I can’t.  I’m grateful for both of them!

Let’s put it this way, Ann. After today’s visit with the CPA, I definitely need some therapy!! That loud THUD you heard this afternoon was me hitting the floor when he told me how much money we owe………..
